My education of horses generally begins at the foundation.  A solid relationship between horse and rider can not happen if there is poor communication on either end.

I build the foundation of the horse while also building the foundation of the rider to create confidence and harmony between the two.

From there, the horse moves in to the training phase that the rider wishes to achieve.  My student (equine and human) can be cross trained into other activities to build physical strength and self-assurance while keeping riding interesting and fun.

After the necessary amount of time, the horse and rider are encouraged to continue on the training alone, with me as a guide to make subtle changes and maintain the balance while continuing the education level.

My vast knowledge is not limited to English horses.  I have experience training Gaited and Western horses as well.

Conditioning is also available for riders who need to get their horse fit for sale, competition, or health.  This includes hacking, galloping and long slow distance.  I am well versed in how to condition a horse properly to build the respiratory system as well as muscle, tendon and bone to prevent lameness.   My riders are then advised on the importance of correct conditioning and the "how-to" to achieve it.
